Day 13...

Waking up to the uncomfortable and suffocating heat is never pleasant.

I had some things to catch up on today and desperately wanted to just sit by the lake and read my book. I have not read my book since the plane journey here! Quel dommage!

So indeed I accompanied one of my fellow volunteers down to the lake and had the most pleasant day. Chatting, reading my book, people watching and learning to crochet. In the throbbing metropolis of Brossac, as you can see there is so much to do.

I think today was the first day in about a year where I haven't thought about or stressed about any one thing in particular. I was focusing on my book and the scene around me. It certainly is calming here.

We enjoyed a delicious and fabulous dinner at the restaurant overlooking the lake and returned home to find one of our volunteers back from her weekend adventure.

We chatted to her about her trip and told her about our days. Then we sat and discussed the cooking and the shopping list for the next week... Very serious meeting here at LG.
