Hi there!
What a scorcher of a day it topped 28 degrees with hardly a breeze and quiet humid, you could tell the locals were struggling and there was a lot if pub liquid lunches! But the sun here doesn't burn your skin like back home however it's still warm.
So we met up with our family today and went into the tower of London which is an amazing old castle from the medieval times. One of the kings even had a polar bear to show his dominance and it was on a rope and it could swim in the Thames! We saw the crown jewels, torture chambers and armory used during its life.
After a spot of lunch which my uncle got payed out for as he asked about implements to eat with from the staff. They thought it was hilarious as they have never been asked that before. Anyway we got the tube and popped out at Westminster Abbey. What a grand majestic place! lots of people buried here and this is where Kate and Wills got married. The roof and the grand scale is so special. It even survived the war however some bits got shrapnel in the sandstone so they put glass in the hole. We had an audio our Which are great as you can take your time and really hear what your looking at.
It doesn't sound like we did a lot but again lots of walking and we did have to go from one side of London to the other. We also wanted to avoid the tube at peak hr as there is no aircon and it's very warm and the trains get packed quickly. A cool change is meant to come through tonight and it's predicted of only 18 degs tomoz.
Hope it's not to cool there!

P. s I found a queenslander in the middle of a busy tube station as he had his jersey on. Of course I said go the blues and the convo went from there. He was from Townsville traveling over here.

Bria Hi Elena, there is a new cable car ride that opened Thursday called the Emirates Airline Cable Car near Greenwich. It might be worth giving it ago if not too busy
Elena Thanks Dad! We are heading there today, looks great x
Norman Bradshaw Nice to see you're taking in a bit of culture, which of course is what the Great of Great Britain is all about........there's a lot of history to take in though and you could spend far too much time (and money) in London alone, plus when its hot there (which isn't often so make the most of it) it can be quite uncomfortable, as you've probably found out......as with the tube, very few places have air con......central heating by the bucket load...but air con........nahhh......I hope you continue to have fun and look forward to your next post, here and of course Fb..........and by the way......keep out of my fireplace........!
