G'day
Jacinta and I explored the town this morning of Durnoch whilst we waited for the others to come! Something different!
So we finally headed north to Dunrobin Castle and there was a Falconry there! It was the best show with birds on display flying about and doing tricks. The handler was very passionate and very informative. There was a falcon, hawk and owl on display. The best bit was went they were being feed dead chicks, rabbit legs and pheasant. He held the whole chicks up in the air and called them chicken mcnuggets. We then proceeded through the 23 rooms on display out of the 187 rooms in the castle. They also had a museum full of fossils and heads of animals stuffed from all around the world and I'm talking at least 100 heads, tails and tusks! Totally amazing! We had lunch at the castle then left as it was pretty late.
We headed down to Inverness then to Aviemore which is a ski town so many great shops fortunately for my credit card we didn't say for long.
We continued south through Dunkeld onto Stanley. We are at the hotel called Tayside. Time for a steak tonight! Weather overcast and mild but a wee wind chill factor!
