It's been a fortnight since I have updated the blog and thought it was a good time for a post. I continue to be in limbo though so not a whole lot has changed. I am still searching for a job and working in Kayak rentals and tours to fill the gap between my last job and what will hopefully be an upcoming career position. I am beginning to think I just need to apply for jobs everywhere in the world and wherver I get a job is where I go. If I have to kidnap Jaclyn to make her move with me then so be it! I already have plans in place to email her boss resigning from her email account to seal the deal! I have interviewed with a large NPO close to Chicago about 3 times here and waiting on a call to see if I get the fourth and final interview with them. I have actually applied for a decent position in Mountain Home, AR too. I had a quick phone interview with them and waiting on a call to see if that goes forward as well. I have applied for several things in Fayetteville and hundred of things in the Chicago region. I absolutely know without a shadow of a doubt that I do NOT want to live in Chicago though. I can handle the suburbs like Elgin, Geneva, Naperville, but I can't do this polluted disgusting city. Sorry if that offends any of my friend living here but you have to remember I came from a place where the water is so clear you can see 25 foot deep and there has never been an air quality alert sent out. Chicago is a blast...so go visit it and your it but don't live in it. Just my thought.
My mother in law (might as well go ahead and give her the title :) Is in from Florida. To be fair to her I have been looking at some positions in Florida and even applied for one in Lehigh Acres. Don't get your hopes up thought Shirley the economic outlook is not to great there. However: Gainesville and Jackson I believe it was are looking very good right now and I will definitely add those areas to my search. For some reason I am drawn to TN and I have been looking into the Chattanooga area. It's a great town, with great economic out looks, and damnit the name is just fun to say.
Beyond job search I do the kayak stuff and play on my website.

Ab Although I am not offended that you don’t find Chicago beautiful I will point out one thing; You are a nature enthusiast and Chicago isn’t known for it’s breathtaking landscape, but for its culture and it’s awesome women! Coming here was an opportunity to experience something different and that’s exactly what you got. Now you are in no way shape or form obligated to stay but as you mentioned, you have to take the good with the bad. You may have to endure our smog and our ghettos, but you get to chance to do it with one of Chicago’s finest, Ms. Jaclyn Kray, who is worth more than her weight in gold! So in the end I think we can both agree on three things.. 1.Two of your favorite chicks are rooted in Chicago. 2. Smog sucks! 3. FL girls are skanky (No offence mama Shirley- you have Chicago roots anyhow). =)
adventurejunkie It all comes down to finding a job. Most of my classmates at red frog events have had to relocate to get jobs. So there in lies my struggle, and as you know 30k dollars a year here is nothing. It all comes down to the one factor of employment.
