Well it's me again, "Sporty Kathy" as the Norwegians call me these days. We're back in Tromso and getting ready for our flight to Oslo tomorrow morning. Today we just pranced around town and shopped a little bit. The most eventful thing that happened was...well maybe I shouldn't reveal it all here...but let's just say it involved Erica, a dragon-sized seagull, and some very bad timing. To recap some of the main events of the last few days since Davis was too boring to mention the important stuff, here are the highlights:
1: I jumped into the freeeeezing cold river somewhere...can't think of the name but that's what Davis is for..anyway, it was really cold, and I lost my watch I've had since 10th grade. We'll chalk it up to a lot of flailing once I dove in, plus the velcro on the band wasn't really "sticky" anymore.
2: I was awakened in the middle of the night while we were staying in a tent (lavvu) by an uncomfortably close by reindeer who had on a loud cowbell around it's neck. I swear that thing was practically whispering in my ear! These reindeer are quite brazen!
3: I braided both Erica's and my hair before we went camping, and we didn't shower or unbraid anything for three days! Blech! Luckily I don't think the reindeer minded.
4: I have eaten my weight in peanuts and strawberries. Don't ask.
We'll give you a report on Oslo soon! Keep your fingers crossed for an easy flight!
