There are over 300 islands in Fiji and lots of tours that take you island hopping so that you get to see quite a few of them. We however, decided just to pick one and stay! We didn't want to be moving around a lot and we heard it was quite expensive so we went for the relaxation option of spending a week on an island! The island of choice was Bounty Island, where the first Celebrity Love Island was filmed. This helped in the decision of staying there as we'd seen it on TV so we knew the island was beautiful, that and the fact it was only a short boat ride from the main island. The island was beautiful, you could walk around it in about half an hour which we did quite a lot, it was such a nice walk and funny to think you are on such a small piece of land in the sea. The resort itself wasn't brilliant but we were swimming in the same pool that was used on the show! And the Love Shack was a major disappointment, it is a complete wreck. It has just been left and is all smashed up, you can still go in and see the bathroom and the jacuzzi on the balcony which is cool. It's such a shame though because it would have been such a beautiful place to be able to stay. So for most of our time on the island we were sunbathing trying to re-build our tans after being in New Zealand but we did do a few activities...We kayaked around the island which was good, the water is crystal clear so you can see the fish swimming underneath and there were loads of blue starfish which were beautiful. Phil did a bit of snorkelling but it was a bit shallow for me. We also went para-sailing, that was good fun, we did it together which was a bit scary but it was good being able to talk to each other while we were flying around!! Oh and I had a massage, it was so nice and broke the bank at a hefty 3 pound! What a bargain! And so that was our 3 weeks in Fiji, it went by so quick, I'm sure the time is starting to go quicker and quicker!! Hope everyone is still enjoying the journal, we still love reading the messages, its great to know you are thinking of us and can join in a bit of our adventure. Next stop Hawaii...
