Good crossing-- shared a cabin with Katherine. We soon had our washing line strung across draped with wet clothes. We had a huge " all you can eat" meal in Four Seasons Restaurant. Having had no lunch we did justice to the offered spread! Breakfast was a similar glutton feat -- there was enough for lunch too. We then said our farewells and went our separate ways. I took the train to Selby, where the market was in full swing and a craft event in the magnificent cathedral. The ladies had produced some magnificent home- made cakes -- the coffee and walnut even better than the Dutch apple pies! After my P& O lunch I made my way to South Newlands Farm,Riccall,on the 65 Sustrans route, my B&B stop for tonight, and was greeted by two old English sheep dogs and a nice pot of tea. Hung my tent up to dry out and enjoyed being inside looking out at the rain.
