Sunshine at last. Robin took me to Tapeley Court near Bideford ,owned by the eccentric Hector Christie. Lovely view over the water as far as Lundy Island , cream teas on the lawn and the most amazing walled kitchen garden. The house was featured in TV programme Country House Rescue which made me want to visit there.

here at sunny Barnstaple after 36 hours travel. Trains full but all on time-- London did not seem overly busy; the Olympic stadium looked spectacular as we flew in over it at 5am. Susan and Robin both well and the garden looks very colourful.
