So I only have one more day in Barcelona:( I will miss this place and the people I have met here so much! I have certainly fallen in love with this city. Thursday night a group from the school went out on the town and we had a little going away party for me:) First the group went to a bar where we pretty much just hung out and talked and watched some of the stupid kids get sloshing drunk in record time, but we also danced a bit and took some fun pictures with our free glasses! Once the drunk kids started to get annoying and our stomachs began to rumble a small group took off to go to a tapas bar. Tapas are very typical Spain - more Madrid than Barcelona, but still very popular here. We ordered three plates; calamari, crocketas, and bombas. It is a sort of group eating, tasting, sharing type of thing and it is a whole lot of fun! It is like ordering off of the appetizer menu for dinner:) O yeah, you also usually get pan con tomates - it is slices of bread with tomato smeared on them - you don't actually eat tomatos much in Spain:) We had a great time! We talk and we laugh and we try new food all together on the count of three! The boy on the left in the red second from the back is new, he has only been here a week, but he is a great guy. He is from Canada and I will admit I do speak in English with him sometimes, but not very often! I actually had forgoten how much I miss speaking enlish! I have gotten to a point where I can think in Spanish and I have been doing that for weeks - I usually only speak english when writing e-mails or journals or talking to my parents on the phone and sometimes while talking to them I accidentally revert back to Spanish:) It is great that I can do this, that I can think is Spanish, but because of my level and limited vocabulary my thoughts are pretty simple. I miss complicated thoughts and conversations and so having David (the Canadian) here has given me the opportunity to have more complicated conversations - it is good he has only been here a week or I may have been speaking English all along! Well, it was a good night, a very good night:)
