After the wonderful experience of seeing the outdoor theater and wonderful lake, I decided to go try one of Austria's most famous meals, Spatzle. This food is a type of pasta that has been part of Austria's identity and cooking culture. Some say the noodle is more popular and better tasting than Italian pasta, because the dough is softer. There are four ways to form it since it can't be rolled. one way is to spread the dough over a wet wooden cutting board then cut it with a knife. Another way is to use a spatzil press. You can also use a Spatzle-Sieb. The final way is to use a Spatzle-Hobel.The ingredients are water flower and egg.
Some history on spatzle is it was first introduced in 1725. We still don't know who or how it got invented. Another theroy is that the italians first made it and named it spezzats. Soon the Austrian's took it and named it spatzel.
