The blog lives on.After a long journey we finally touched down in Osaka,Japan, a country I have wanted to come to for a very long time.(caps lock on this computer is rubbish so no more caps for this blog) it was clear within hours that japan would be nothing like any country i have visited before. it has a very distinct foreign feel and it is obvious we are on the other side of the world, heped largely by the fact that i have seen barely more than 10 white people here which is great. the subway has been easy to use but most of the streets dont have names so it is easy to get lost. osaka is ugly during the day but is very cool when it lights up at night. there are lots of indoor streets filled with shops, resturants and the like. had a look around to get a feel for area today, had rice dish at a place where you buy a ticket from a machine to get meal. today we visited a castle which was pretty cool and dared our first actual japanese restuarant for lunch. hardly anyone here speaks english but the menu had some english on it and pictures so we made do and ordered a beer in japanese. visited a cool skyscraper and took an elevator to the top for nice views. tons of sexy japanese girls here in tiny skirts, not good for my health. no one is staring at us but it is clear they are looking at us slyly. the children are less subtle, lots of school children and the castle and they kept saying hello to us and laughing.heading out tonight to some bars, should be interesting.
