Den on the loose
NZ Day Fourteen
After only 4 hours of sllep i got up wide awake still full of energy so i went into town for a bit of a walf taking in my surroundings.
When i got back to the hostel for breakfast i found out that the two Steve's missed their trip to Milford Sounds because they got up late.
After breakfast i went back to bed for an hour or two taking stock of last nights events before getting up and meeting the two Steve's down at the bar.
Hurrah!! Mark and Tim finally joined me in Queenstown so it was pretty cool to see them again even if we were separated for a day.
It was about 4pm and Jens and i had arranged to meet Jane and Helle (Danish Girls) for a ride up on the gondola and luging around the luge track at the top of the hill above Queenstown.
Mark and Tim didn't fancy paying for the ride up there and there wasn't much time for them to walk it up so they went for a walk in town.
The ride on the gondola was pretty steep and definetely alot better than the one in Christchurch and worth paying the price of the ticket as the ride up provided us with some really beautiful views of Queenstown.
When we got to the top we headed straight for the luge track and did our complusory scenic track so we got use to the controls. After the scenic track we switched on to the Advanced track where i crashed loads of times
After luging we went back to ur hostel for dinner before heading back into town to the bars and clubs with Mel, Linda, Mark and Tim.
Mel was pretty tired that night as she had just come back from Milford Sounds and she wasn't feeling that well so she went back and then Linda went back as she was tired from last night so they both went back early.
Whereas Helle, Jane, Mark, Tim and I stayed out late and we alked around the town near the waterfron in search of live music but to no avail so we ended back in bed at 3am.
