Den on the loose
NZ Day Three
Twas a sunny day thank go for that but it was still a breezy day and the weather here is practically the same as England's which isn't all that good but hey can't complain.
Today we decided to go on the tram around Christchurch and also take a ride on the Gondola.
It was pretty cool going on the tram around the city as the driver gave us a guided commentary of the important buildings that we went past.
We got off one of the tram stops just outside the botanical gardens and done a bit of exploring, the gardens itself are absolutely stunning. the whole area reminded me of Clifton in Bristol or one of those quiet areas in Cambridge or Oxford as people just layed about in the sun on the grass quietly reading their books.
The Gondola ride unlike the quick tram ride took about 20 mins to get to where the gondolas left just outside the city but it was worth it as we got a view of Christchurch from the top of the mountain right by port of Lyttleton which is a little town that was once established by the French i think it was.
While we were at the top we went for a walk around the crater which was where we were and it was very windy to say the least.
That night we had a quiet one as we had an early start for our KIWI Experience tour the next day
