Today we started our day by driving to the Berlin airport and waiting and extra hour after our flight was delayed. After we we're finally able to board we took a quite short two hour flight to the absolutely beautfiul Rome! Getting off the plane was even awesome, the whole city was lit up and the temperature was a little bit warm even though it was night. We then left the airport to find our taxi that we ordered which was very nice having a nice air conditioned ride to our hotel. At the time most of us didn't know that we were going to a hotel. (My dad was a little bit nervous, for good reasons, about our last stay in an airbnb.) So he surpised us with a nice hotel, which had a guaranteed clean shower and beds, and no creepy art. After we booked into our hotel rooms and took all of our luggage to our rooms and settled for a little bit, we walked to a nearby McDonalds. No don't get me wrong here, the rest of Rome is absolutely amazing but the walk down the hill to the McDonalds was... different. Half way down the hill was an absolutely terrible smell that nearly gagged us all. But once we got to the McDonalds we were greeted by the familiar American resteraunt smell. After eating our dinner we went back to our hotel where we got ready for bed and then went to sleep for the night.
