Today we slept in not being in much of a hurry. After showering and getting ready for the day I went downstairs to meet my family who were all eating breakfast. Obviously I ate breakfast and then went back up to our room to continue getting ready. After we were all ready we all went down to the lobby to explain what we were doing. After this we started our walk to the subway station. Let me tell you how imprepared I was for the heat. At first when we left the hotel I was still a little bit cooled off from the air conditioned hotel. But after I started to warm back up it began to quickly reach sweaty heats. Within ten minutes we were all sweating. After walking for around ten more minutes we got to an ice cream stand that was completely irresistible, so we all ended up getting a cone to cool us off. I tried a nutella ice cream because... I don't know it just sounded good, and it was. After we all finished our ice cream and becoming a bit more refreshed, we continued our walk to the subway station. We went down the endless amount of stairs into the subway station and bought our tickets. We then walked down even more step into the actual subway area and boarded or train. After waiting on our train to get to our station we finally exited the train and followed my dad up the steps out of the subway station. When we exited we were greeted by the most movie esque part of rome, (besides the colosseum), that you could imagine. So many tourists and souvenier hustlers swarmed the area. After walking for just a second to our left was the spanish steps, sadly we didn't get ice cream and eat it on the spanish steps ala, Roman Holiday, like my mom and sisters wanted to. But besides that we walked up to the top of the spanish steps and looked out at the beautiful scenery from the top of the steps. There were quite a few times that just up there that my mom and sisters were approached by people wanting to "give them flowers". After this we started our long hot walk part two towards a fountatin. (Can't remember the name.), the founatin is supposed to be known because you throw a penny over your should and if it lands in the fountain then your wish comes true. Since it was so packed we were almost falling into the fountain so of course my penny went in. After this we started a little bit of a walk toward the pantheon. When we arrived my family and I were a bit surprised to find out that we could actually just walk in free of charge. So of course we went in and looked around at all of the cool and historic monuments in there. After finishing up in there we found a place for dinner and ate, then walking back to the hotel. Where we of course like usual, got ready for bed and went to sleep for the night.
