Today was another day where we were able to sleep in a little bit. And as the normale routine goes, I got ready for the day and then went down to breakfast. After this like usual I got ready for the day and then we started heading towards the subway station like usual. And like usual we stopped for ice cream. We then got into the subway and took it all the way to just outside of the vatican where we were going. From the station we walked into the vatican and walked around, looking at al of the cool decor and buildings in the little country. After figuring everything out we started walking towards the basilica for our tour. We arrived at the front and since we had our online tickets we were able to skip the first line. But what we didn't know is we couldn't skip the massive crowd that awaited us inside. We made our way through the crowd to the ticket stand where we could finally redeem our tickets and start our tour. Once our tickets were redeemed we began walking, well trudging really because of the massive crowd, towards the beginning of our tour. After walking up a decently long spiral area we had the choice to go left or right. We went left which took us through the museum that showed the evolution of Rome and it's art. After going through this museum area for around and hour or maybe two we were starting to get close to the basilica that we were excited to see. Eventually we finally made it and it was so worth it. The insanely big mural on the ceiling was really mind blowing, being able to see the original creation of adam was really cool. After we took our time looking through this area we left that area and retrieved my backpack which had been taken at the security gate for some reason. Now that we were all hungry we thought about food but first we decieded to head to the nearby church. Now I can't even begin to explain how massive the inside of this building was, and we could only walk through about 3/4s of it. We hoped to access the catacombs that day but we were to late or they weren't open. After we left that building we walked out of the vatican and started looking for somewhere to eat. Although we usually ignored the people who were advertising for resteraunts this time we followed one of them to a resteraunt that we found to be very tasty and a good ending to this day and trip. And like usual we went back to the hotel and went to bed.
