Left Santa M this morning for Genova on what turned out to be only a 1hr train ride. Caught a taxi to Hotel Metropoli, such a nice place and Cheryll got excited that breaky was included haha.
We took a little nap before going to the bank to change Cherylls TCs but they told her to come back in the morning as they had to verify details with Amex. We then walked to Piazza de Ferrari and then to Cristoforo Columbus huse where we went in and had a look around (quite a small place) Then we walked down via San Lorenzo and looked at Piazza Matteoti and Palazzo Ducale and San Lorenzo Cathedral.
Next we went to Genova Aquarium (one of the largest in Europe). There are so many cool fish, reptiles and jellyfish etc. We got to touch some stingrays too (presume they were the non stinging type). After that we had dinner a pizzeria near the waterfront. Then we went on the Biga, a rotating lift that goes up and you can see the nightlights of the town.
After that we walked back to our hotel through some alleyways that turned out to be on the edge of the dodgy streets (oops!)
