With Mia and Mum out of the way Dad and Flynn did some more fishing although the weather wasn't great with strong winds and showers. Flynn did remarkably well to stick it in such uncomfortable conditions but it didn't seem to phase him and he kept asking to go again. Flynn was particularly excited when he caught 3 bas on soft baits he had brought from New Zealand. He was also very excited when Nanna and Poppa gave him a reel for his birthday.
We also visited Burgh Island and as it was low tide we were able to walk across the sand to the Island. The kids were very good and were rewarded with yet another ice-cream from Poppa. The next day abbey went swimming with Nanna at the local baths and in the afternoon we all went to watch Abbey have a riding lesson with Dads old riding instructor. On our final morning in Devon Dad took Abbey to visit his old primary school. She sat in on one of the classes and attended assembly. i think she quite liked the school which is a series of octagon shaped classrooms joined together around a larger octagon which is the Hall.
Then it was time to leave Devon and after visit Auntie Ruth and Uncle John in Honiton we headed for Nicky's in West Sussex.
