Most of the last few days has been spent on the beach, going for walks or playing with our cousins. The water is a lot colder that NZ but that hasn't stopped Abbey going in at every opportunity, even when she doesn't have her togs. One day we went to the rocks at low tide to look for crabs, we found four and one bit Abbey, Mia slipped over and we decided that swimming was safer.
At high tide Dad took Abbey and Maddie rock jumping. The girls really enjoyed this, particularly the bit where they made Dad jump in as til that point he had avoided going in the sea. On Monday our cousins left to go home to Sussex and with half the children gone the house settled down a bit. Abbey and Dad went for a long walk to find an old ladder used by smugglers which was now very overgrown. It's location is top secret so Abbey is not allowed to tell anyone.
This mrning Mum and Mia set of to London where Mia is going to spent some time with here other Nana whilst Sarah goes to visit some friends up North. Abbey, Flynn and Dad stayed in Devon for another few days. In spite of some rather strong winds Flynn insisted Poppa took him fishing again and they caught some more Bass, Mackerel and Pollock. Flynn wound in a 2 1/2lb Bass all by himself and was very pleased.
