After travelling for most of the day we concluded it was easier in the planes than the car. We eventually arrived at our friends in North Devon to the first poor weather of the trip. Not that it was bad enough to stop us doing anything and over the three days we were there we visited Tarr Steps (a 1000 year old bridge on Exmoor), went to an indoor playground, visited our relatives in South Molton and Dad managed a round of golf with Sean.
However, the highlight of the visit was definately the horses. Our friends have three horses, including a pony called Skippy which belongs to their daughter Lucy. Both Abbey and Mia got to ride Skippy and Mum and Dad rode one of their other horses, Merlin. Abbey in particular enjoyed the horses and helped with the grooming and mucking out everyday. Flynn however spent most of the time running round with a fishing net wanting to catch the goldfish and asking when we were going to go fishing with Poppa.
