We drove from North Devon via Dartmoor to Plymouth where we met my sister and dropped off the hire car. The kids were very excited to see their cousins again and the normally quiet house is now complete chaos. On our first full day the kids headed straight for the beach and inspite of the overcast weather spent most of the day in and out of the sea. We then went to catch some bait so Poppa could take Flynn fishing. That afternoon Poppa took Flynn and Dad to try and catch a bass. Whilst we didn't do very well we did catch the three types of fish Flynn knew so he was very happy and told everyone who asked.
The next day Auntie Ruth and Uncle John came to visit and the big girls pestered Poppa to help them build a raft which they then had to take to the beach to try out. On the Saturday Poppa took Flynn out fishing again and inspite of some choppy conditions he loved it and stayed out for over three hours without getting bored, not bad for a two year old. In the evening Poppa took all the girls and Mum and Dad to Dartmouth in the boat to sea the Red Arrows perform at the Dartmouth Regatta. We went to Poppas big boat moored in the harbour and the girls spent the whole time crab fishing. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great and cloud cover meant we only got brief glimpses of the planes. However the kids enjoyed the helicopter display and seeing all the boats and people. Flynn and Nanna weren't able to come on the boat but got to ride in an open topped sports car which Flynn loved.
