Busy busy busy,
This week was quite busy and I was tired all the time. However, let's start on Monday. I had my first own tables in the restaurant as well as my own code for the Micros system. Woooohoooo, if that's not one step up the career ladder....
Tuesday was just a regular working day, nothing special.
Wednesday was sooooo busy. And I wasn't really in a good mood. I hate it when you stand at a table with a tray full of (hot) beverages but you don't know who is having what because I did not take the order, I'm just serving. So, I stand there and ask ''Who is having the Earl Grey?'' And nobody reacts. Hello? I'm not invisible am I? And I am certainly standing here just for fun. After work I went to Ealing Broadway because I had to settle something with my bank. I needed my IBAN and Swift Code and cancel my insurance (because I had received a mail that they were going to take off 8pounds for the insurance that I didn't order). When I got there they told me to use one of the phones to call a hotline. It took me 10 minutes to get to the right department, because there were just too many options (you know when the machine says: If you want to blablabla please press 1,....) And then they asked me for my Telephone Banking Pin, which I didn't have with my of course. So I just typed in something but it worked....well that's what I call save. In the end, it was all fine (as always). Then I went to the supermarket to busy some groceries and when I got out again tadaaaaa there it was. Big surprise. A German Flag....now this I had to check out. A German Sausage booth. Wooohooo, I bought one and asked the guy serving if he was German...well no he was French?? Whatever. The Sausage was good. Then I went around the corner and there was a German Salami booth. Even better, because they had liverwurst, which I bought. It's 500g and I don't know when I'm going to eat all that liverwurst but who cares? There even was a Dutch Poffertjes booth, and of course, you know me, I bought poffertjes. That made my day because I didn't really like it before.
Today, was an easy day. I decided to stay back office and just do the polishing and occasionally checking in the restaurant if they need help. Lunch was really busy and I was running a lot. Then I went home straight away. And together with Marleen we did some business. Calling Thames Water (which ate all of my credit on my phone) which was very chaotic because the guy was taking a lot of time and I needed to repeat everything. Then I called TFL (Travel for London) because I was waiting for my Oyster card...but wooohoooo, it is going to arrive this week or on Monday. Wooohooo. Finally.
That's it for the moment. See you laters alligators.
