Day 9 - 3rd July
It was 8am when the heavy rain woke William up.
Outside was miserable, foggy, cloudy and torrential rain. We had yesterday decided to stay an extra night, but as Ross and Will didn't sleep brilliantly coupled with the fact that the weather was real poor - there was no point in staying another day given that there was nothing else to do but watch the rain! So we got our boat back to Sihanokvilke @ 10am.
Before we got on the boat - walking along the beach Gina leg had sunk knee deep into the sand and we pulled her up, her flip flop was left under the sand somewhere. Ross managed to dig his whole arm under and grab the flipflop. When we reached the boat, they had a wooden plank so we could board the boat.
Ross almost fell into the sea as he slipped on the plank and blamed his worn out flipflop for lack of grip!! Ross face was a picture!!
Arrived at a dry/warm Sihanoukville soaking wet and caught a bus back to the town centre. Ross and Will have 3 days left at Sihanoukville (with a day trip to Kampot) and Gina has 2 days left.
Instead of booking in 'Big Easy' hostel, we tried a different hostel called 'Sea View' which is more nicer and only USD12 per room per night (USD4 each).
We were all starving and the food at our hostel was pricey so we went to 'Big Easy' to eat as we liked the food.
Got back to our hostel for a nice long nap.
Ross slept for 3 hours, Gina 2 hours while William stayed awake typing and updating the blog as we were falling behind on schedule with the diaries!!
Had ice cream and then will had his power nap of 20mins before Ross woke Will up to say "party time".
Went to the same place as we liked the people who worked there.
They had fire-spinners on the beach which was good. You could see further up the beach front, there were fireworks, although it shot into the air before sizzling out, not even an explosion!
A few drinks later, Ross ended up playing beer pong with Tia against two American guys who were pros even though they were really really drunk!! Ross and Tia only managed to get one of their drinks!
Some deaf Cambodian people came to the party and we chatted away till early morning!
