We drove out towards the east enterance and stoped at the first overlook only to realize that the worst view of the grand canyon is at the visitors center. Grandview overlook has a 300 degree overlook and used to be the main attraction.

From this location you could see the river in the bottom, and actually appreciate big this canyon really is. We also stopped at Moran point on our way out.
