Today was a rough start. Having to get past last night and focus on the trip ahead. Laundry, packing, reloading the car, grocery shopping, and cooler packing. We said our good byes to Heather and Trenton and we were off to the Grand Canyon.

There was lots of nothing on this drive after we escaped from the LA traffic. We will be arriving in the dark, why change it up now. The time change heading west is refressing you are rewarded with less driving time instead of more. Unfortuanatly James is smarter than us. During daylight savings time, Arizona has the same time as the pacific coast time because they do not participate in daylight savings. Totally faked us out.

Arizona was exactly what I pictured in my head and we were lucky enough to arrive during sunset. Soft pastels blending from blue to pink to orange whigh black contrasting hills. Breathtaking. No picture can do this justice. We arrived at Mathers capmground and with in minutes I was asleep.
