Title: Day 3 at Sea, Half Way
During Susy's 0300 to 0600 watch, we reached the half way point.
We finally had a change in weather. The wind has died down a little, we are sailing about 5 to 6 knots and the water is staying in the ocean. This is lazy-day sailing and has allowed us to get some clothes washed and some things dried out.
We also checked the solar and wind generator panel to see why we are not sustaining a battery charge. Turns out we found a blown 20 amp fuze. We looked everywhere for a replacement with no luck. So that means the only source of charging power is one of the two solar panels and the engine.
We ran the engine four hours this morning and I made about 4 gallons of water. Susy took all the wet cushions out of the forepeak and gave them a good wash. Martyn cleaned the seals around the leaking windows and coated them with Vaseline in the hopes that it will seal the windows and stop the leaking.
Tonight Martyn made fish curry with the fish he caught yesterday. Very good.
It was so nice to have a break from the weather and enjoy a nice sunny and dry day of sailing.
