Upon arrival at JFK I had to leave security and make my way to the baggage claim.
At least my sea-bag made it this far. I then had to go and re-check it to Antiqua. This never happened before. They said it had something to do with being more than 12 hours between flights. Didn't make any sense to me. But there are a lot of things about air travel today that doesn't make sense.
I was lucky to get it checked. The lady said, "I'm not supposed to do this." Again because it was too long before my flight.
Thank goodness she did.
When I tried to go through security again, they turned me away. I wasn't allowed to spend the night beyond security. (I did it twice last year).
So I had to leave terminal 8 and take the sky train to terminal 4. I found myself a nice restaurant with a power outlet and settled down for the next 3 hours. But I'm glad I didn't have to lug my 40 bag around.
I read email and sent one to my wife. She said it was way too quite with me gone. I think what she meant was that she missed having someone to talk to.
I had a nice dinner of Crab Louis and a couple of beers. This place is called The Palm and it's not cheap. It's also closing so I'm off to find a piece of floor to sleep on.
