Title: Work Day
After a breakfast of granola and yogurt, we all went up to the Campbusa restaurant to check our email and the weather forecast.
It looks like we will be able to sail for San Martin tomorrow. The winds are about 15 knots from the east, southeast so it should be a very pleasant sail.
This was a work day. We had to take the motor off the dingy and mount it on the fantail. Then we took the dingy out of the water and scrub it down.
We took the teak floor grates out and scrubbed the deck and the grates. I emptied the stern lazarete and washed all the lines and dried everything out. Then I made all the lines up and restowed them.
We cleaned the outboard and flushed it out with fresh water. One of the teak floor boards broke so we had to fix that.
The last task was to run biocide through the water maker and change the filter. The water maker has to be run at least once every three days in the tropics to keep bacteria from growing. Otherwise. You have to run biocide through it.
After dinner we all gathered outside in the cockpit and finished of the bottle of rum and shared sea stories.
