Title: Our Skipper Arrives
First thing this morning while everyone else was still asleep, I went for a nice long swim to meet the neighbors.
I swam to a nice 37 footer and chatted with a Swedish gal as she was doing her yoga. Then over to another boat to visit with a couple from New Jersey on a 44 footer.
My task today was to learn the water maker system so I could teach the others. Everyone else went ashore and I enjoyed having the boat to myself.
When the rest returned, we tackled hoisting Suzy up the mast to retrieve the spinnaker halyard.
When that was finished, Martyn took me to shore to wait at Skullduggery for the Skipper to show up.
Soon the skipper did show up. We were all sitting around the table on the dock at Skulldugerry and this huge man showed up and said "Well this looks like a crew looking for a skipper!"
Martyn Williams is 6' seven inches and weighs about 275 pounds. But he appears to be a gentle giant.
We had a couple of beers at the Skull and then proceeded down to Nelson's Dock for dinner. I had the spare ribs which were very good. But I really missed the garlic bread we had last night at Trappas,
We had to switch berths around to accommodate the skipper. It's going to be very tight until John leaves the boat.
