Trailor on Tour
Finally, I have made it from coast to coast (I sound like Michael Palin) and I am now resident in Sydney. Yesterday I flew here from Alice and landed at about 1700 local time after a 3 hour flight. I did as the doctor advised and covered up all the spots - except the one on the end of my nose. Richard met me at the airport and he drove back the 20 minutes to his house.
The house Richard shares with Bryan and 2 dogs is a lovely federation style bungalow, with 3 bedrooms and a bath!!!!!! I haven't had a bath since I left the UK, although I have showered and therefore do not stink. Today I woke up
Ooooh, I am sitting in a shopping centre and a very loud argument has broken out just outside this place, which is to do with drugs, I think..........ah, the police have arrived at last.
Where was I? Oh yes, today I woke up and unpacked all my stuff as I'll be staying in one place for a couple of weeks. This is a major event in the life of someone travelling. I have my own double bed - no more sharing a room with people who snore and turn the light off when I'm reading. I can spread out - bliss!!
For those of you who do not know, I have been friends with Rich since I was 11, when mum and dad moved in down the road from his mum and dad. Both sets of parents are still in the same houses in Tredegar Road. He has been living here for 5 years and is also Maria's little brother - Maria and Alan from the Asia leg of my trip.
I can't believe it's only 9 days to Christmas. Sherry xx
