The Trek Day 02 - 28th sep
We got to Telluride for lunch. Telluride is a little mountain town in the rockies. It is very wealthy as people such as Tom Cruise and Opera live there. We didn't;t see them.
After lunch we went on a hike to the longest waterfall in the world (I think), Bridle Vale Falls. It was really warm that day but when we got a bit higher we found snow still on the ground. That night was our first group night out. We ended up in a night club that for some reason had Hula Hoops. So Andy showed everyone how to do it.
Day 03
We got up the next day early. As part of the trek we had the option to go mountain biking. The whole group went and it was excellent. It was proper mountain biking down the Rocky mountains. We had to get a cable car to the top and cycle down a dirt path along cliff edges, over wee rickety wooden bridges and through forest lands.
That afternoon we just chilled out and walked around town. In the middle of town was a free box. Its basically a big bookcase where you can pick up anything there that you want from clothes to books and get rid of anything you don't want. Dawn picked up a pair of boots.
That night it was so cold that everyone with the exception of us two slept in the heated girls toilet. Well seeing we are from Scotland.
Then on to Mesa Verde...
