Fifth Stop Denver
When we got to Denver we thought we were going to be having a lazy time. It has been fairly relaxing but active as well. We arrived on the 22nd of september about half 10, 2 and a half hours late. We tried to check-in but we were too early and had to wait till 3. So we checked out the surrounding area and had lunch.
On the 23rd we had a easy day but went out at night. We went to a pub called the Celtic Tavern to celebrate Celtic's old firm victory. We went to a real American dinner after for food.
On the 24th we went to the Cherry Creek Mall which is a massive wall with loads of shops restaurants and a cinema. Cherry Creek is an idyllic wee town it has a very friendly atmosphere and typical middle America.
On the 25th we hired bikes because Denver has excellent cycle paths. We tried to go to Boulder a town outside Denver but it proved to be too far. There was a moment of panic when we got split up, leaving us both to find our way back to the hotel separately. It worked out alright in the end but after a 5 hour cycle we where shattered.
On the 26th we took our bikes back and went to watch the Celtic game in another Fado's bar. We got talking to the bar maids their who turned out to be the nicest people we have met.
Tomorrow we star our Trek America Tour to L.A. ...
