The Wandering Rupa
Our sailing adventure - though dampened slightly by the weather being a little dodgy - was hilarious. There were 12 of us on the boat from all over the world and between people getting seasick, trying to cook at a 45 degree angle, trying to smoke in gale-force winds and trying to wriggle into the super- attractive stinger suits - I don't think we stopped laughing until we got back off the boat!
We had a couple of hours off the boat but for the most part we were on the water. We got to help the crew - I even managed to persuade them to let me sleep on deck with them which was really cool. There were 3 of us (me and the two deck-hands) in swags - mine was on the sail and was pretty comfy but really scary. It was really windy and I was far enough out on the sail that I just had a drop into the water on either side of me. Didn't get much sleep but it was an experience not to be missed.
Back on dry land and a big boat-crew night out before we set off to Magnetic Island - these nights out are taking over my life!
