Hideee Hi
In Noosa now - sleepy little town, good surf (not that I'm any good at it!), nice pubs and the Steve Irwin Zoo. Couldn't be bothered to go to the Zoo (my poorly foot is still giving me gip) but the girls went and managed to go on (probably) the one day in the year when Stevo was actually there so that was exciting for them. I met two guys from Bristol and an ace lad from oop North and we just speant three days chilling out "body surfing" - which is basically slinging yourself into the path of a wave and letting it try to drown you - and eating snow cones.
Had some cool nights out and didn't really do very much to honest. I need a bit of a rest and I think I've obliterated my planned budget so a few days off won't do any harm. Took off from Noosa and up to Rainbow Beach. The name comes from the coloured cliffs there and apparently there's an Abo legend that the colours were put there when Yinigie, the Spirit of the Gods representing Rainbows, was killed in a fight. His colourful spirit was then spread across the rocks. See - stick with me and you'll never be stuck for useless information!
Off to Hervey Bay next and whatever pub-quiz knowledge I can obtain from there......
