Evening, I have arrived in Koh Sumai today, it has beena bit of an
eventful day, we got up around 9 for a 10 o'clock pick up that didnt
arrive untill about 11.15 - pain!!! nevermind, we then got droppped at the
bus station which was gross and had to wait there for about 2 hours
before getting picked up on what was called a vip bus. well there was nothing
vip about it!! the seats were all in the recline position, this was literally
lying back it was a pain and gave me back ache, i had a bit of a sleep and
then woke up and just as i did the bus broke down... this was a pain and
added extra time on to an already 8 hour journey. Anyways we made it to
koh sumai at about 7pm and then got into our hotel, the brochure looked
ammmazing and we were pretty excited as we were staying in a grimey bungalow
in krabi, anyway our room was like a jail cell.. we were not one bit happy,
1. it stank, 2. we had dirty stained sheets, there was a towel on the floor
which looked soiled, ain con which didnt work... not good!! Looking back
on the accomdation in krabi it wasnt too bad.. the staff there were pretty
ammazing, one guy called joey who was a really sweet guy and very helpfulm,
he only had 4 fingers too, poor thai.

anyways we went to complain to the hotel and they were pretty ok with changing
rooms for us but we had to pay more for the upgrade, 300baht a night which
works out about 6 pound.. the luxury room were staying in now was WELL worth
the 6 quid for sure!! When we were walking around seeing if the other rooms were
anything like ours we bumped into Matt, Nicole and Rosie, it was pretty
funn y, i knew they were in thailand and expected to seee them at the full mooon
party but not here, hopefully going to go for a drink or two with them over the next
few days.

We have just written a complaint to the TAT (travel agent who booked our trip) and
hopefully she will sort us out with the refund for the room.. we'll see.

Best dash. Hope the snpow isnt too much? Wish i could see it, but i still
think that the heat here is better than snow. xxx
