Hey so today (6th feb) I have arrived in Koh Phangan, home of the full
moon party. We were pretty worried about our accomodation because of the
previous 'bungalows' we had, the bungalows tend to be made of bamboo and
are very thin and have LOTS of creepy crawlies.. this one is COMPLETELY
different. For starters it is a concrete bungalow but its heaven. Its really
nicely decorated, the previous ones we have had some hadnt even been painted!
This one is right on the beach, step of the porch and your on the beach
about 100 metres from the sea. Its luxury. We have seats on our porch where
we can watch the sun setting and palm trees everywhere. On the beach are
hammocks, and we are about 200m from the bar also. Within 20 minutes of us being
here I had already met loadsa people. We are having a bbq on the beach tongiht
which is free and then on to town for a pub crawl. 300 baht (6quid) for
a bucket, this bucket is different though, its like a massive water butt!!
PObviously not one each but still pretty good going. I dont think i'l be
drinking too much as I had a bit of a dodgy stomach but I am very much lookin
forward to it!!

The bbq last night was soo much fun. We had some ammazing food. The owner of
the hotel's girlfriend was from Latvia so we had their local food. We had
chicken in an ammazing sauce, then we had a pork dish which was BEAUTIFUL.I cant
remember the name but it was great.
Whilst we were waiting for the food to cook, Andy the owner was eating some dodgy
dish and he asked me to try some, it was ants eggs, apparently they are
a delicasy.. I trid some and they just tasted like lemon grass. It was a bit
strange but I am glad I tried it.
After the bbq we all got to know eachoother, I had a really good night, it was
all on the beach and in the resturant, theey had music playing, fires scatered
it was really good fuun. All the guys got very very drunk it was really funny to
watch. I got a bottle of water poured over me, it was so funny although I was
soaked!! The owner here seems really really cool and the staff are all pretty
wicked too. There is one guy called Otto, he is like a punk and really cheeky,
he has star tattoos all over him. He also in his drunken state showed us that
he is a professionnal danncer, he looked like Michael Jackson it was proper funny.

Its now about 9.30 and everyone was saying that Andy cooks an ammazing fry
up, with imported Wiltshire Bacon, no guesses to where we are going this
morning!!
