Hey yallll..
SO today I got up with a hang over as I drank a bucket last night.
Buckets are literally buckets you would use on th3e beach full of booze,
they put a small bottle of vodka and mix it with coke, although I couldnt
really taste the coke which wasnt too good. It only cost me 350 baht so
not bad price at all. We were in a bar called hippes it was really cool,
there was a live band playing, a fire dancer and a dj we had a laugh.
the other girls had a few cocktails which were each 180 baht so me getting
the bucket worked out cheaper - me and my money saving ways!
we got picked up at 8.30 this mnorning, we went to the resturant which is
effectively the meeting place and they told us we were moving rooms so we
had to run back quick and stuff everything in our bags before our pickup
van picked us up. We met some really nice aussies in the van, a girl called
Jess qand her dad, he seems a bit of a dude in his boardies! anyways we
drove past the beach and the tide was out really far.. this is not a good sign.
We were talking to Joey (owner of the lakeside bungalows where we are
stayting) yetserday and I asked about the tsunami, what happened and how did
they know? He said the tide goes out really far and they thought this was
strange, next thing they know there was a tSUnami so you can imagine what
was going through my head when I saw the low tide!!!! We all got a bit panicy
so much so that Trudy got off the bus and spent the day in Krabi town instead
of the boat trip to the 4 islands which we had paid to go on. I felt sick
but came to the conclusion that out at sea would prpobably be the best place to
be as we would avoid the wave.. Anyways nothing happened but still it was
a pretty scary experience. I even got my phone out to text the family then
thought I was just being stupid. There are tsunami escape routes signposted
everywhere!!
The firststop was really cool it waS A really narrow beach with sea eitherside,
you could walk from one island to the other and the sea came up to your hips. We
got snorkling equipment but me and natalie chose to sun bathe. We were just chilling
out before we got abused by these asian men wanting their photos with us
i think because we were western. I felt like a celeb hahaha it was weird
I made them take a photo for me also so if you see it, i didnt choose to have
my photos with them thhey forced it on us. They literally asked about 5 times.
We then went to Chicken Islannd where we went snorkling, again they threw bread
in to the sea and the fish were incredible. thousands. After about 30mins
dive time we moved on to this beautiful beach, the name of which I cannot
remember, but we had our lunch here, there were monkeys runniung around which
were actually quite scary, apparently they bite!! We had our lunch and I went for
a swim, the waters were crystal clear, there is also lots of coral about
which was nice. We stayed there for about an 2 hours before headng to the forth
island, there were lots of caves here so we went for an explore, to our surprise
there was a shrine inside the cave which worships penis'!! we were very
surprised, woodern willies everywhere hahahhaa! Me and jess then went for a swim
but we came out pretty swiftly as there were many jelly fish.. not nice.
When we were chi, ling on thee beach the cutest little kid was trying to sell
us some beers, he must have been 4!! he was shgouting 60baht, you buy, it was
so funny. he coould barely carry the bucket with the beers in! he then decided
to have a roll in the sand, he was a pretty comical character.
We got back to the bungalows at abouut 5 and trudy had spent the day exp;loring.
We are goig to go out and get some food and drink now, jess is going to join us.
One more day in Krabi and then off to Koh Samui.. bye bye xx
