I am currently in Surfers Paradise and it seems a pretty cool place. Its
very different from Byron Bay which I loved, it was soo chilled there.
On Monday night me and lillie were planning on having a quiet night in
as there were lots of tropical storms but at about 7 /8 ish we got some new
room mates, it was 4 lads from Wales. They were reallly funny and managed
to persuade us to go out to cheekie monkeys, a crazy busy club in Byron.
We played lots of drinking games and one crazy dance move game which was
probably one of the funniest games I have ever played it was mental. We
all got a little drunk during the games and then headed to cheekies where
I met some guys called Rob and Kerry, both of which are really nice blokes.
The next night rob and kerry asked us round their campsite for a BBQ
which we happily abiged by, they went mad and brought TONS of food and drink
for us which was pretty cool to be honest. Kerry had got some pumpkin
to bbq, I thought it would be weird but it was bloody ammmazing. Definately
need to get some for home. We all had a mental night the night before
so just chilled round camp and listened to some music.

The next day we were due to leave byron to come to surfers but we bumped into
Kerry and Robb in the morning at the beach then decided to go back to theres
for leftover BBQ food, they were gonna drive us back to our hostel in time
for the oz experience bus but they suggested they drive us to Surfers Paradise.
They have a little van (named Janet the vanette) which they are both
sleeping in, we spend one more
night in byron with the lads where we chilled around the camp again, met
the neighbours and also played some stupid games. We only decided to stay the
one more night and then the lads drove us to surfers via Nimbin this morning.
Nimbin is this crazy hippie town outside of byron bay where weed is very common.
It was a experience Nimbin, it was pretty funny to see the sights.

We have now booked our tours to Fraser Island, Whitsundays and Great Barrier
Reef, we have added in a trip to cape tribulation and also lillie has added a
skydive whihch is cool. Obviously with my back a skydive is not an option.
We basically decide when we wanna do these tours and call up so were not really
tied down to them. It cost me £368 for all of these tours which I dont think
is too bad considering the boat we are going on in the whitsundays is just
incredible, its a catamaran with 2 wings either side, definately the sexiest
boat there was in the brochure. We also have 10 nights accomodation included
which is 2 nights on fraser island with 2 nights surrounding it, We have 2 nights
on the boat and again 2 nights around it. Then 1 night for cape tibulation and
4 flexi nights, which basically means we choose where we wanna stay and they
pay for us using our flexi nights, we have worked out the most expensive place
to use these so we can save our money.

This evening we went to sizzlers with Rob and Kerry, which is actually ammmmmazing!! Its a steak
house where you get a buffett salad but not only salad but things like buffett
NACHOS!! and spagetti, potatoe pie, all the fruit in the world, unlimited ice
cream and cakes, unlimited drinks. The steak was ammmazing but i filled myself
up on salad before hand, vital error! We all then came back to our hostel
and watched superbad on the TV as everyone was shattered. We then went back
to the van and just chilled out before going to bed.
