So I am now in Byron Bay, its really nice here. It feels more holiday-y.
We are staying at a hostel called Holiday Village Backpakers and its really
nice yet expensive. We are not staying in dorms here, its self contained
appartments between 8 of us, 4 in each bedroom. We have a TV room, private
bathroom and kitchen which makes it tons easier for cooking although we
still only have a hob which is a pain!!

We went to Newcastle a few days ago to a place called Heathbrea.We stayed
at Rozzies and Heaths yard, these are related to Lillies Boss from back
home. It was cool, we caught the train up there from Sydney, it was a 3
hour train journey and only cost us £7.00 which was pretty cool. We got
really spoilt whilst we stayed there, it was brilliant. We had a double
bed in our own room which was definately a novelty, this excited us lots!!
haha, it was really nice to sleep without any interuptions, we slept well.
Lillie got a chance to ride whilst we were at Rozzies, which was really nice
for her. We got food cooked for us and we were allowed to help ourself to the
fridge and cupboards which was pretty sweet seeing as food has been really
scarse whilst travelling. We hung out with the girls who worked at the yard
they were really nice girls, but seemed as if they hadnt been out in a long time!
haha. I think they were grateful for visitors. We stayed two niights and
then headed back to sydney for one night.

When we got to the hostel we were greated by our friend yvette who worked
on the travel desk and she came over with glasses of wine and cheese on sticks,
it was a wine and cheese night in the hostel!! We only stayed for one night
and iit happened to be a beach themed party, we got in our beach wear and
headed down to scary canaries to party. We had a good night, we bumped into
our friend ben from Melbourne so that was cool.

We had to get up at 5.45 the next morning to get picked up for the Oz Experience
bus. We got the bus to surf camp which was just ammazing. I wont lie to you
the men were BEAUTIFUL me and lillie were in our element. We shared a room
with two scotish girls who were really nice. We all had dinner together
which was cool, it was a mass meal then we got onto the drinking. We all
played loadsa drinkng games which made everyon get to know eachother. We
then went to the camp fire and one of the staff, Brett played a set which
was really cool, everyone was singing along to it. After the camp fire
we went to the beach with Simon, Jacko, Miguel and Frankie who are lads
from Leeds. We had a laugh on the beach and ended up in the sea.. it was
soooo funny! The guys were rugby tackling us to get us into the water.
After we came out we justchiled round the resort which was cool.

The next day we headed to Byron Bay, when we arrived in was raining but
within an hour the sun was out, its been really really sunny since which
is GOOD!! We have just spent a few days on the beach. Tomorrow I think
we are going to Nimbin to check out the crazy hippy town, have a day off
the beach.
