So we made it to Cuzco without issue. We were at the hotel having our first coca tea. It is suppose to prevent altitude sickness. It is basically a tea made from the leaves of the coca plant. The same plant is refined to make cocaine. It basically has the taste of green tea with a little more zip then coffee
After that Ray our guide took us for an orientation walk around the old town. It was fairly good and gave us lots of ideas about what to check out later. We saw the old inca walls that the colonial buildings are built on. We walked around the key squares. Then we went for lunch and I had an alpaca burger that was very good. And sme fresh squeezed blended fruit drinks.
Then we all went our separate ways. Me a Lori went to the chocolate museum and the Jesuit church which had quite beautiful art work but photos were allowed we also walk around the squares and cathedrals at a slower pass which was good too.
Then we came back to the room to relax to avoid altitude sickness. We are off to to the hike the reinstating meeting. And then a small supper again to help with altitude sickness. But other then me feeling queries from the ride from the airport and Lori having a headache there have been no problems with us yet.
