We spent the first few days of the long weekend at the end of April (27 April - 1 May) camping at Bulshoek Dam resort, 15 km north of Clanwilliam on the Olifantsriver. The campsite was very rustic and we were bit disappointed with the surroundings as we believed the campsite was located more into the Cederberg mountains. I nevertheless enjoyed myself and feeling the fresh air on my face let me feel alive and I appreciate every moment of life. Seeing Ouma Engela in hospital later the weekend let me just again realise how precious these moments are and how we should appreciate every single moment out in nature and experience His goodness and love.
We camped with John Schuurmans, Conrad Bos, Tide and family and the Hablutzels at the Bulshoek resort where the Olifantsriver entered the dam. John took his lovely boat with and the boys had a wonderful time enjoying skiiing and tubing on the dam. The weather was mostly overcast and the mornings were damp and cold as the north west moved in bring heavy rains towards the end of the weekend.
We had to leave early to go to Kleinmond as Ouma Engela had a hip operation and she took a turn for the worse with memory lapses and not in touch with reality. We were all very sad to see her in such a state andonly time wil tell how her recovery will be in the weeks to come.
