Bye bye Uruguay... Hello Argentina!
Three hour Buquebus ferry to Beunos Aires and as usual i'm the only one awake good old alone time : )
Everyone talks about how amazing Buenos Aires is, so were all super excited and of course were staying at 'the' hostel to be at; Millhouse.
Before the ferry had even docked, you knew you were in BA by the tall buildings and of course the noise, kinda felt like we were back home in London except the hot weather!
BA is known to be the 'Paris of South America' due to it's mix of French, English and modern architecture.
I finally realised what it would feel like to be a tourist in london, as soon as we were on the main roads we felt trapped, people rushing past you and getting annoyed as your standing in the way!
First sighting of a Starbucks, deffo know your in a city!
Crossing roads here are a nighmare and confusing, a London zebra crossing and a BA have two completly diferent meanings. The road by our hostel, Avenida 9 de Julio claims o be the worlds widest avenue with 16 lanes, imagine crossing that everyday!
So glad we booked millhouse way in advance, this place is like a hotel. Our room is amazing, for once we don't have to make our own beds. We have our own cupboards and the bathroom is amazing, even comes with soap and fluffy towels. (when your travelling the little things count!)
Happy hour in the hostel and no Caiprinha's : ( forgot we are no longer in Brazil, just presumed it was a standard drink like vodka.
Little did we know that nighlife in BA begins supper late, they leave to gobyo clubs around 2am! Here's us four girls chillig at the hostel bar with live music at 10.30pm... By the time it got to 1am we were shattered!
Quote of the day:
'where is London?'
