Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is more commonly known as Kew Gardens. The gardens span 330 acres and have different landscapes, both open air and within glasshouses.
I spent about 5.5hrs there on Wednesday 4 June, the London sun even managed to appear through the clouds several times during the day making it a most lovely day. My last visit to the gardens was back in 2004! And I enjoyed today as much, if not more than I did last time.
The mass of different plants, flowers, vistas, trees and sounds kept me so engaged. My phone camera was constantly capturing the amazing sights from huge bumblebees, beautiful lilies, delicate flowers to precious leaves. Although some areas needed more attention (weeds had gotten away), the rewilding in other areas was great to see.
Although I only explored less than half of the gardens, by the time I left I had almost run out of phone battery (I started the day with full charge), been filled with wonder, revived with the grounding energies of nature, and was truly grateful at the end of a delightful day.
