After enjoying a little sleep in and a quick trip to Sainsburys, I headed off to explore Richmond just a short walk from Kelly and Will's home in Kew. I meandered the streets in Richmond, including walking down the lane where they filmed parts of Ted Lasso. At the top of the Richmond Terrace walk and gardens I stop to enjoy my lunch.

There were loads of beautiful flowers throughout the gardens and I was amazed at how big the bumbles were collecting pollen from the many flowers on the mint bushes and roses. I made friends with a squirrel, who ended up following me along the path for a little bit!

Back up the hill to the road, I made my way across to Richmond Park - National Nature Reserve. Not long after I entered the gates I saw some of the deer that occupy the park. So beautiful.

I enjoyed walking through the park, the lovely big trees, open areas where I glimpsed a little of London through the cloudy slightly drizzly sky and before long the wind died down, I warmed up and was able to take off the rain-shell. The park is really quite expansive and I only saw a very small part.

There were quite a few people out walking their dogs today, and whilst I walked through the East Sheen part of Richmond park I imagined Harvey trotting along beside me. I know he would have been super happy to be there too, maybe he came along in spirit while he was sleeping at home?!
