Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, it did! South West Rocks was the place where our trip became a holiday (albeit after a disappointing daytime stop at Nambucca heads - one challenge on our trip so far has been finding good playgrounds to stop at (a future travel-writing project perhaps...?).
Anyway, back to South West Rocks: Gorgeous beaches with calm, crystal-blue water, relaxed locals and most important, sunny blue skies.
Trial Bay Gaol and the government run camping area at Trial Bay (not the Big 4 Eco Lodge) are a must see; and may well be the site of family holidays for us in years to come. A glorious day of swimming, reading - and even the first post-pregnancy run for me, to the spectacular Horseshoe bay - was capped off with fish and chips on the headland and a toast to our HOLIDAY!

Rachel See you are roughing it!!! Love the champagne flute mats!
Oma yes that was one of my favourite camping grounds as well when we did the NSW coast. Now you know why Helen from Map world wanted to retire there.
