A very sweet past couple of days. On Wednesday I met up with some activity group buddies and did a hike along the central coast where apparently lots of ghost stories originated. Later that night we barbecued with some new friends from Albuquerque/Denmark where we commenced to get kicked out of the barbecue area for having glass beer. Whoops. On Thursday we all went for a hike in Iao Valley in Wailuku which was real sweet. The hike ended at a nice little freshwater stream which I swear was a refreshing 33 degrees. We then went to Big Beach where lots of bodysurfing, soccer, and beer took place. The best sunset I've seen to date. It was Lars' (1 of 2 Danish visitors) birthday so we celebrated at the local bars in Kihei which consisted of horrible karaoke, horrible house music, and horrible guinnesss. Haven't had that much fun in a while.
Today I got a call from the Pacific Whale Foundation and got an interview set up for next week. Yesssssss. I'd be educating tourists and the like on Hawaii's marine life and ecosystems while they eat buffet food and get wasted on a giant charter boat. How kick ass would that be? I also applied at a four star resort in Wailea as a beach attendant, which also would rule. I met up with the Danish again at Big Beach where we talked s*** about children and found 2 boogieboards with killer whales on them. Tomorrow we're all going outrigger canoing, which just so happens to be Hawaii's national sport. I can't flipping wait.
