Yesterday i arrived in South Africa, it is about 35 degress, sunny and very hot, but I am happy no more snow. The other volunteer Dohy and the project coordinator picked me up at the airport and then we drove to the volunteer house in White River. The house is very nice, has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large living room, kitche and a garden. After talking about the project and the next cuple of days, Dohy and I went to the mall and did some food shopping. I also had the chance to drive a car in South Africa, which was kind of difficult, because here you drive on the other side of the road. But all went well and you get used to it quickly. Today we went to Frank"s house and he showed us around Nelspruit , the next big city. After that we meet up with the German scouts that live close by and had something for dinner. righht now it does not feel lke South Africa to me because i only got to know German people, but I hope to get in touch with more locals next week when the work starts.
