Hiya
I've spent a very quiet day here today, just the normal duties for a change. I think one week is long enough as the second is going to be a repeat of the first but with new volunteers. After i got stroppy about having to the housekeeping again within four days, i have decided to call it a day on Wednesday and am heading off for luxury in a hotel at Cha-am, a lovely hotel right on the beach at the astronomical cost of 22 pounds per night including breakfast. It'll be a chance to get clean and relax before heading off for Singapore. The thought of swimming in a clean pool overlooking the mountains is just too good to miss out on. I have loved working with the elephants and meeting all kind of people but the politics and rules at the centre were beginning to make me feel as if I was on holiday with a bunch of school children. Still, I've loved it and have some very good memories and don't want to outstay my visit and end up feeling disillusioned by the whole thing.
Tomorrow will be hard day as we have banana picking again and no men to help us. It's not my most favourite job in the world but it has to be done!!!!
Will catch up again soon
Sue PS It's hit 40 degrees here this week!
