The fireworks last night were very good. They were set of from Story Bridge and we had a terrific view from the corner of the road where June lives. The F1-11s came over to start the display and returned at the end where they dumped and burnt the fuel. the noise was terrific! We went back to have a barbeque on the terrace.

This morning we went to watch Jack's football team get beaten at the football final. The sun was very hot and I now have one of those embarrassing tans where the tan stops where the shorts and T shirt start. I've tried hard to even it our by lazing by the pool for an hour this afternoon but have had to come back to start packing for our road trip tomorrow. I'm now browner than the locals who try their best to keep out of the sun. We're heading south tomorrow and the climate will be much cooler. Canberra is down to about 14 degrees so I'm finding it hard to imagine wearing trousers and sweatshirts again. I'm not sure how often we will be able to use the internet, but will try and update as often as possible.
