Well, I survived the trip down to Byron Bay on the Harley. I didn't screem too loudly, in fact I loved it. I hated the bends and the corners but managed to stay on. Byron Bay was lovely, I can't believe we missed it out last time we were in this neck of the woods. We even managed to watch the whales out in the ocean. I even chose to ride back to Brisbane of the Harley instead of opting to go in the car and riding through the Brisbane rush hour traffic was interesting. We finished off the perfect day by going out for dinner...what a way to spend a birthday! My birthday pressie from June (and I still can't believe it) is a night at the Sydney Opera House to see the Mikado next Friday when we're passing through Sydney. I've never been to the opera and never will again...how can you beat that? I've felt very spoilt...
The previous few days were spent relaxing and shopping. I even managed an hour down by the pool on Wednesday afternoon although I was the only one there. It's still cool for most Brisbaners but at 25 degrees, it's certainly a lot hotter here than the British summer has been and I'm determined to make the most of it.
We're going up North today to Noosa to stay with June's sister for the night. I love Noosa and am really looking forward to seeing it again. June picks up her brand new car this morning and I'm not sure I'm looking forward to driving it.... I'm pretty hopeless around Gloucester let alone Australia!
Oh well, time for another coffee and trying for the unpteenth time to get more photos to load.
Missing you all (just a little bit!) :)
